CómoComo- How to eat not only food, but life
“How you eat is a metaphor of how you live”
ComoComo is a website created by Fernanda de la Puente: Food Writer, Natural Chef, Eating Psychology & Nutrition Coach based in New York City. Combining her scientific background in Western Nutrition with her training in the Culinary Arts and Holistic Health, Fernanda created CómoComo: a website on how to eat life —as it translates from Spanish Cómo= How, Como= EAT. Even though there are sections on the site for what to eat, when to eat, where to eat, and with whom to eat (interviews), CómoComo is really about the HOWs in life; how you eat and how you live.
Fernanda believes that health shouldn’t solely be based on the physiological aspects of nutrition, but rather on the psycho-emotional aspects of the act of eating.
CómoComo is an approach to health and wellness that emphasizes the importance of MIND BODY NUTRITION: the connection of how our mind affects our eating patterns, metabolism, emotions, and overall health. Who we are in the deepest part of our being profoundly impacts the chemistry of our body.
CómoComo is an invitation to feel healthy from the inside out by becoming aware of the intimate connection there is between eating and living.
“Good nutrition is really a matter of how well your body can digest, assimilate and absorb nutrients; similarly, a good life is really a matter of how well you can digest, assimilate, and absorb all the moments in it. Living just like eating, is a process of taking in, so let’s not just talk about food nutrition here, but let’s talk about life nutrition too”.
Fernanda is a Certified Natural Chef, Certified Raw Food Chef and Instructor, Holistic Nutrition Counselor CHHC, AADP, Eating Psychology Coach, and 300Hr Jivamukti Yoga Teacher.
